Going to make the Beacon trip this year. Sorry for not having one last year. The plan is to head down on Jan 21, be at the Beacon at 1:00. Those from the North, meet at the Flying J on I-85 as ususal at 11:00, leave there at 11:30. Then meet those from the South at Reidville Plaza just off I-26 at 12:30. Then we can make our way to the Beacon bu 1:00.
Who might be interested so that I can give them a head count? Hope to see you all there.
Pam

We eat inside and the date is set for Jan 21. The reason for January is just to get out after eating all that turkey over the holidays. And nothing else going on in January. The only thing that would change the date is if it happens to snow. Looking forward to seeing everyone. As mentioned, do come with a big appetite!!! !!!!

Every year I ask that same question, "why are we doing this in January"...lol...
Okay, so we're going to meet at the Flying J again? I'm going to go cross-country, anyone want to tag along? I'm not a highway fan, especially when it comes to driving my PT. Couple of years ago I followed the Patriot and had a blast.

How are you going, I thought that you are in Mooresville?

Yes, I'm in Mooresville. Last time I took I-40 west and joined up a gang just south of either Marion or Morganton, can't remember which, then we went cross-country to the Flying J. Was a hoot. Course, I love driving cross-country on smaller roads, especially one's that involve the twisties. If you want, I can take 150 over through Lincolnton, then jump on 74 in Shelby and come through your neck of the woods. Then we can either head south to the Flying J or over to 26 for the second meet, whichever you want. I'm easy, as long as I get to drive my PT I'm a happy camper!

We can meet in Shelby and then over if you want. Look at your profile, signature, under your avatar and it says location Lake Norman? ?? That is why I am asking. We need to see if anyone else wants to meet in Shelby area or more on the way and then go to the Flying J, so people if ya'll want to caravan get in touch here so we can make plans.

Yep, I'm on the east side of Lake Norman in Mooresville. Off Brawley School road and Stutts Road, out towards The Point.

Well can't make it again. Leaving Monday morning to spend the week in Jackson, MS. Since my mom's only 5 hours from there, I'm going to go spend next weekend with her, so can't make it. Haven't seen her in 5 years, so time for a family visit.
