Does anyone know if the cruisers use gear oil in the trans axel and where you would put it?

Automatics should use ATF+4. Don't use anything else, don't let a mechanic tell you otherwise. You pour it into the filler neck where the trans dipstick is. Are you low on fluid? If not don't overfill.
I think the manuals use ATF+4 as well, but I'm not sure on those.
