Got my K&N air filter today and bulit the intake for it . I did not notice any more torque or hp but throttle response is better. Sound did not change drastically by any means and i hear a lot of people talking about the sound changing a lot so I am wondering if they notice it more or I did not do something right. When anyone put these on how much change in sound? Plan on getting strut bar and exhaust after the new year. I have also been looking at Xenon body kits and really like the crusher style. Anyone here tried any of these kits? Till later....skully

Hey Skully and welcome to the club. My airbox added a lot of sound to mine but now it's kinda lost because of the MagnaFlow muffler I put on. Even if it doesn't add more HP, it sounds like it did...right? ;D

No-that is one of the dissappointments on doing this. Let me explain-I was hoping for two things-throttle response and sound. I got the throttle response-noticeably. The sound did not change hardly at all and from what everyone has said is that it was a big difference in this area. I like a good growl or rumble and did not receive much from this mod but it was worth it for the response on the pedal. Someone on another forum told me he has had three different intakes on his and the K&N was the quietest one-he said the volator intake he has now is the loudest and sounds good. I am hoping the exhaust will help out in this area as well as performance but am gonna have to some shows or rides to hear some different systems. Cya.....skully

Did you use a K&N drop in filter in your original air box or a cone type filter where you had to remove the stock air box? Any cone filter should have added some definite sound to it.

I used an RU-0620 K&N. It is a cylinder type not exactly cone. I have a 2 3/16 intake tube with 3 1/8 flexi intake hose covering the pipe for a dead air space and insulation. Yes, I removed the stock air box for this application. There is some sound difference but not as much as I expected. The throttle response is better-no more lag.Skully

I have the Xenon Bruizer body kit. Real easy to install. The Crusher front end is harder to do. The bruizer just mounts over existing bumper as the crusher replaces front bumper.

Too late Rocky, I put in some fresh Mobil 1 just 2 weeks ago. I hate I let the warm temps pass without getting a couple of coats of Zaino on. Going to 20 tonight so it won't happen anytime in the near future.

I know exactly what lighthouse you're talking about. We took some with it in the background also. Nice area. Enjoy your weekend there. Savannah is one of my favorite places except between the months of June and Sept.
