Sure does look that way. Do you think they will cancel? I don't think there will be to many people looking at cars if it's pouring, do you?

I guess it will be fist come, first served, under the grandstand! Not sure if its gonna be worth driving 75 miles to ride out a tropical storm/hurricane!!!

I know, I've already been sick for a week and a half and made two visits to the doctor, not sure if I want to risk getting worse.

That's my point. yes it rained in the spring but this is supposed to be quite a storm. I can't see alot of people wanting to see cars in the pouring rain.

I'll send an email out later today to all of those signed up for AutoFair. It is a rain or shine event. But with that said, the speedway couldn't possibly hold it against any club or anyone who doesn't show up, nor will I. Just let me know if you're not coming so we won't keep waiting for you in the mall parking lot. That's all I ask. It could get nasty especially for those who have to travel a distance to get here. I live approx 20 min or so from the speedway so it's not an issue with me, we'll be there.
And at this point, we still plan on going to Max & Erma's around 5:00. If you can't sit out all day, come on and eat with us if you can. It may be a ways north of us by later in the afternoon.
Rick

Hurricane Hanna has taken a bit of a twist and turn in the Atlantic just like Ivan did back in 2004. Check out that storm track.

Hey Rick, the meeting time is still 7:30 behind Steak and Shake correct? Scott and I will be there unless there is a drastic turn in Hanna. Hope she goes another way and just brings us a little rain.

What Stoke said! That's the main reason I'm about 6 years away from getting out of SC. I'm tired of going thru this every August and September. The worry and aggravation isn't worth it anymore after 54 years!

Well...should I jinx it by mentioning the weather now?
Both the local and national weather service is predicting Hanna will skirt the coast rather than come through Charlotte as earlier predicted. Since most the rain is on the east and southeast of a hurricane, most the rain now looks like it will be at sea.
They said a "slight chance" of rain here on Friday and Saturday now.
And now for the BIG BUT.....
It could change 20 times or more before Friday or Saturday. I'll keep a watch on the weather service and I'm sure most or all of you will too.
