Has anyone noticed the crappy spot they have us in for Auto Fair? It's under the grandstand, which is good, but it's along the walls there where the restrooms and the consessions are! Can you belive it!!!?? Thirty cars parked along the wall.... What about those who like to open their doors? And NATURALLY the MINI'S have their spot under the Speedway Club!! What a LOAD OF CRAP!! Rick, is there a way to voice our displeasure?

we might want to start a little earier so we can get turned around and be facing out towards the gate,Or we will never get out in a timely fashion that afternoon.

I totally agree with the crappy spot and I let them know when we went to the meeting at Lowes last week. Can't understand how the Mini's continue to get the spot behind the Smith Tower.
I almost want to tell them to mark the Carolina PT Cruisers off their list and that we won't be there. But that was my thinking..not necessarily the other 29 cars that's suppose to be there.
For the last four shows, the CPTC has donated race ticket packages that included CPTC t-shirts or gas cards. We're the ONLY club that has donated ANYTHING. The speedway provides other prizes that are drawn and given away to the clubs attending. The CPTC has NEVER won anything and we've been donating something.
It bothers me that we continue to get sh.it spots at the speedway, especially this time. Do they not know what a bribe is when they get one?
By parking end to end, doors can't be left open, we can't block the entrances to the restrooms, grandstand access or the food vendors. 30 cars spread out (even PT Cruisers) will take up a lot of space.
James...there are some special things we will have to do this time when pulling in and I'll send an email out to those participating in AutoFair.

Scott and Andrew replied soon after the email went out. They had some good replies.
Scott provided a picture of his Laser and the doors opened just fine with plenty of room and those doors are much wider than a PT.
Andrew suggested parking at a slight angle giving much more room between cars and potentially getting an extra car in a space that we might not by parking end to end. Given the length of the PT, not long, we can park at a slight angle without sticking too far out.
A couple good suggestions I hadn't thought of.
