Benefit Car Show/ Toy Run Update

Well our benefit Car Show for Going Home Freewill Baptist Church's Youth Program was a huge success! We had 29 registered vehicles and raised $826.00 for the youth! Everyone enjoyed the auction and a BIG thanks to Lloyd Johnson our very own auctioneer! Pastor Jeff Duncan won peoples choice with his 2002 Chrysler PT Dream Cruiser and Sue Robertson won The Red Baron Award for Best Of Show with her 1967 Pontiac GTO. I have so many people to thank for all of your help and support! First and foremost Thanks to God for the great weather and his many blessings. Thank You to Creative Framing, Robertson Packaging Supply INC. AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, Carquest Auto Parts, The City of Marion and a BIG Thank You to Amy Quinn for taking care of the food! I would like to also thank the church members of Going Home FWB for sponsoring our top 25 awards and for all the church members and the youth of the church who came out to help. God Bless you all! I especially want to thank all of the car owners who came out to support this benefit car show. Thank you all!!

I have an update on the toy run in November. Rex White, the 1960 Nascar Champion will be there to sign autographs and pose for pictures. He called me this morning and informed me that he will be here! I am so excited! I have a few other plans in the works and will keep everyone posted!
