Becky, You and your Aunt take it easy. Sometimes those hits from the back take a few days to be felt.
But as they say, if you can walk away from it, all is not lost.

I'm HOME!
First of all, a huge thanks to Dolan, Lena, Dean and Kathy for a wonderful cruise! It was a great break for me to be away from school and work and I enjoyed visiting with everybody.
Now, as Pam said, my poor baby got smashed and is still in High Point at Larry Walker & Sons on Surrett Drive. You Triad PT Cruisers can keep her company while she's recovering. From what I hear, Larry Walker's is the best body shop in town.
I did get a rental 2008 Cool Vanilla PT (4 door). As for estimates and stuff, the verdict is still out. I picked up the police report and the lady driving the car that hit me was driving on a revoked license, and the owner of the car (was her passenger) did not have car registration or insurance.... I think I might be screwed. Thank goodness I have uninsured motorist on my insurance.
I'll keep all y'all posted. My aunt and I are both doing fine today and I'm back to work tomorrow.

Becky Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad you guys were both ok though. Easier to fix a crumpled car than a crumpled body though. Was great seeing you again.

Thanks James, The guy I spoke with knows you, Sandy & John and we talked quite a bit about the Triad PT Cruisers. I'll let you know when I can come back down to pick her up, I'm sure it will be sometime next month (I hope) and maybe we can all get together for dinner. Thanks everybody for all the well wishes. It was great seeing all y'all and I already miss you bunches! Becky

Becky, So sorry to hear of the accident, but am glad to hear that you are OK. I cut & pasted Pam's message to our boards for all to read. You know what, in over 8 years of PT Cruising, that's the first accident I remember taking place on a cruise. (involving another car) Now Roger & Sherri and I both had run in's with recaps and such causing some serious damage in the past, but that is a little different. Somebody had to be first and I guess that it is you

No registration......No insurance.........then the tags on the car have to be illegal as well I'd have to assume??
I don't know about you, but you have a serious case for a lawsuit there and I'd find out from the state about the tags too. Maybe you can sue them too.........I know in Md. if you don't turn in your tags before you cancel the insurance (like if you're gonna sell your car) you get fined for every day you have no insurance and didn't turn in the tags first.
I'd go to the DMV and get both of those ladies driving records if that's possible. Once a scofflaw........I'm betting one of them has some serious traffic offenses. Maybe the police department can provide you with more information. I wonder if you can request drivers information through a Freedom of Information request?
You have un-insured motorists coverage but me personally, I'd stick it to them good.
