Anyone planning to caravan to Tom's next Saturday? Lets meet at the rest area again between Greensboro and Burlington on I-40. He is planning to start serving the goodies around noon. If we meet about 10:00 and leave between 10 and 10:30, we should be there in plenty of time. Last year we had about 12 in the caravan and it was quite a site going down the highway. See you all Saturday.

Anyone wishing to convoy to Tom's from the coastal areas....we'll have a Meet-Up on I-40 at the REST STOP at NC 24 (Warsaw).....60 miles from Wilmington. We'll be LEAVING the REST STOP at 8:30 AM for trip to Toms.
Look for Wally in the RED PT on the east side of the building at the rest stop.

Frank can give more specific details but I believe it is the only rest area and it's after Greensboro but before Burlington. We'll be cruising up from the Charlotte area with a couple and meeting up with John in Archdale.

The rest area is just east of Greensboro maybe 2-3 miles past where I85 and I40 join each other. Its just past exit 138. Its the first rest area after you leave Greensboro.

Can we take the new bypass around GSO coming from the south and get to the rest area? Or will we have to go through GSO the "old" way? I can't remember.

cafeful on I-85/I-40 news report last nite that the hwy patrol is targeting speeders,tailgaters etc....in that area
