Has anyone had a problem with their A/C yet? I have right at 65K on my car and my ac stopped working. I had my dad to check the freon and its running in the red. So therefore it has to be something other tahn the freon, but the compressor is running so maybe a vaulve or fuse? any one got anything else to check before I take it to the dealer?

Knock on wood...no problem with the a/c. At this time of year, it's a necessity. Hope it's a quick and cheap fix!

Well I called the dealer this morning and they said there is no known problems with the a/c. They said 100 just to look at it and then the cost to fix it. So I guess i will be going without an A/C this summer. Sux to be me

Might want to try the PT Do It Yourself website . I believe they have an extensive list of troubleshooting problems that may cover A/C .

Well of course now more problems have to come with this... it would be too easy for it to be only one problem. I woke up yesterday cranked the car and its idling at 32RPMS and then in gear its around 19RPMS before my car would run around 900 RPMS in park and around 11RPMs in gear. So then after about 20 mins of this my check engine light comes on. Of course I had to keep driving I was in traffic coming home from work. So I go home and look at the the cables, they are fine, the spring is fine so the only thing I can guess is its the throttle body. Can anything else go wrong? The pt will go to the shop today at a friends house and let him run the computer on it and see what the error codes are and I guess we will go from there. BTW, PT FOR SALE TAKE OVER LEASE!!!!!

Well I got one problem working on being fixed. I took the pt to advance auto store and had them to run the computer check on it, and of course I was right its the throttle positioning sensor and MAF/MAP sensor. So hopefully I will get this fixed today or tomorrow, but still not sure about the a/c..but thanks everyone for all the help.

MAP sensors seem to be a pretty common part to go bad . I've had a couple go out in various vehicles after only being 2 to 3 years old .
