Well yesterday John and I spent about 4-5 hours installing a new set of gauge faces.Let me say they look great but they are a lil difficult to get in and to get the needles to read correctly after installation.Okay alot difficult. So I wouldn't recommend this as a Do It Yourself project.

James/john:
It sounds like I left at the right moment. I no longer have the patience required for that kind of mod. Congratulations on your stamina.

Hi guys,
Does Nu-image have a set of these for the turbo yet? In fact, does anyone make these guages for the turbo? I have yet to see any. Seems kind of backwards that somebody hasn't done a simple screen print change for the 140MPH speedo on the existing design to put out a turbo version....
I'm assuming you guys were working on a non-turbo PT?

They only have 120 on my new gauges unlike the old that did have 140, ,don't run that fast without tony close by so it doesn't really matter if it only has 120. Still has room for speed neddle to go past that 120 mark without a problem.

Does yours not have a speed limiter on it? I know the 2001/2003 non turbo ones had the limiter set at 117 mph. Never had mine over 90. Not sure I want to do 117 in a PT. Maserati...definitely yes.
That fast is scary. Fastest I've driven was about 125 mph in Germany on an autobahn. My hands were sweating and my body was rigid, it completely wore me out.

Yep shuts down at about 125 or so.Or when it hear & sees sirens and lights behind it.Whichever comes first.

It looks to me (comparing a pic of a 120MPH speedo with a pic of a 140MPH speedo) like your speedo won't read properly. On a 120MPH speedo the 0 and the 120 marks look like they are in the same place as the 0 and 140 marks on a 140MPH speedo. Isn't your speedo scale off by a certain percent all the way through the needle sweep? i.e 12 o'clock on a 120 speedo is 60mph while 12 o'clock on the 140 speedo is 70mph. So you'd be 10mph off when your Nu image gauges were at 12 o'clock. Do you just mentally compensate while driving?
Jes' wunderin!

Well that might be the reason I am 10 mph off.Trying to get the dealership to recalibrate it with just the computer but it won't work so they can do it by taking the gauge pod out and fixing it that way.I hope

You were right Brian,I pulled out the old gauges and the spacing is different, thats why i am off 10 mph.Oh well I can deal with it until they come out with one for us turbo car owners. Thanks for the heads up I would have never thought about that.
