That's great! You didn't even have to pull out the fender liner to run the hose. What diameter hose are you using? I think you said you were using a shop vac hose? I wonder if the aluminum dryer vent hose would work/fit.

The hose dia. was probably about 1 1/2 or 2 inches. I will check and get more specifics when I get home.
I looked at the dryer vent hose at Home Depot but all of it was pretty large dont think it would work without a lot of kinking.
And yes did not have to remove the fender liner just snake it down as close to fenderwell as possible you will see a opening that will allow it to go through. At first it may be a little tuff to get it started but once it does it feeds freely on down.
If you have an old vaccum hose around the house it should work just as well.

Thanks for the input on the hose. I too, had wondered if I could get a dryer vent hose that wasn't too big. I have some exhaust fan hose at home that is ~2-2.5" but it is too flimsy to work and won't hold it's position very well.
Talk to you later.

Been running the PMAI System for a while now. It seems to be doing fine. I do notice a little more fine trash debris in air box but nothing significant. At least that telles me that the air is getting forced into like I want!
Thinking of using the small carpet nozzle that came with vac on the end of the hose. Routing it somehow to bottom lip of air dam . I think it would look pretty cool cause it is a flattened type of nozzle. I would have it positioned so all you would see is the opened end. Sort of like the one in this pic only its smaller only about 4" in length. the one in the left corner .http://www.shopvac.com/dev/catalog/products/90643t.gif turned with nozzle opening facing front of car.
May be even thinking of marketing this item as a kit!

Had my Cruiser at the dealer yesterday to try and find why it had a slight hesitaion or "sag" as the Service manager called it but thats a post for another thread. Anyway the tech saw my PMA Induction system and he thought it was really cool( He has A 2004 GT Turbo Stage 1) I had pushed the hose kinda outta the way so it was not visible under the air snorkel, (didnt know how they react warranty wise) When I went to pick it up he said "I put your hose back in the air box snorkle for you,it must have slipped out" boy was i suprised,so I told him why I had moved it out of the way and he said"dont worry about something like that when you bring it in"
If you want to know the results of the "sag" in engine performance I mentioned check the other post in "rough idle page "

www.karlsnet.com/mopar/ramair.shtmlNow obviously, I'm a day late and a dollar short and this is not the PT Cruiser with its extremely cramped engine compartment, but this is sort of to encourage anyone thinking about this to give it a shot.
