Coming back from Virginia last weekend, I hit a big piece of wood I never saw with my Dodge Intrepid. Knocked a hole in the transmission pan. It's been in the shop since last Sunday and the dealer can't get a pan in. Nephews car is broke down so he has my Z34 Monte Carlo. Susie got up this morning to go to work (at 5:15) and we had a flat on the PT, there's a big ole nail in the tire. So I got up at 5:15 and was in the garage putting the donut tire on.
Tell me it's gonna get better?!?!?!?

Don't feel bad rick I blew two $200 tires in 3 or 4 weeks.

Susie woke me up at 5:15. By the time I peed, got a cigarette and a cup of coffee, she had the jack out, had it under the car and lug nuts loosened. She was having problems getting the donut tire out from under the car.
Had it fixed just awhile ago and glad we went. While it was up, I had them rotate and balance the tires and they found another tire with a nail in it.
Got the Dodge back awhile ago too. Tranny pans must be cheap. A new pan, trans filter, oil change and tire rotation on it was only $211.60.
So the day will hopefully wind up better than it started. And will probably end kinda how it started, a cigarette and having to pee. I'll replace the coffee with a glass of wine (or 4).

Ain't it amazing how the beginning of the day and the end of the day seem so much alike? ;D Its the crap in the middle thats a killer.
