I'm in Greenwood SC and will be coming up I26 , exit 54. Is it best to just meet at the Beacon or try to get in a convoy?

The convoys are fun because we look so great going down the road but it depends on if it's easier for you to follow or just meet at the Beacon. Everyone is meeting at the Reidville Rd.exit after you get off 26 if that's good for you.

Weather Update....
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The National Weather Service says central North Carolina could see 2 to 4 inches of snow this weekend.
Forecasters said Friday that a blast of cold air from the west and wet weather caused by a low pressure system off the coast will bring snow Saturday. Severe Weather Center 9 meteorologist John Ahrens said this storm system appears slower and stronger than the one that swept through the Charlotte area Wednesday night.
Snow could begin in Charlotte around 6 a.m. Saturday, dropping 3 to 4 inches in Charlotte during the day. The peak time for snow will be from noon to 6 p.m.
The weather service has issued a winter storm watch for most central North Carolina counties from Hickory to Rocky Mount. Forecasters also predicted snowfall of 1 to 2 inches for North Carolina's mountains, but Ahrens said the mountains will not get the brunt of this winter weather – the foothills and piedmont will receive the heavier precipitation.
The wintry weather is expected to clear out by Saturday night, but roads could be icy early Sunday.

Sounds like it will be OK for the GA & SC drivers but not sure about the NC folks.
Bummer!

I just got home from Cincinnati and they're calling for snow here too. I'm not going to try to come over the mountain tomorrow so those of y'all that do go have "something a-plenty" for me. Becky

I've been hearing from some of you today in regards to the weather forecast for tomorrow. That big 'S' word for Charlotte and Spartanburg areas. Don't get me wrong, I love a little snow, but do not dare drive in it. And, I do not want anyone braving the elements, stay home and stay warm.
The Beacon trip has been cancelled and has been re-scheduled for next Sat. Jan 26th. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate with us then and more folks can join us.
Sorry,
Pam

Well, darn! I won't be able to make it next week. Wanda will be in Virginia with her mudda and I will be in Macon for a Kiwanis meeting. Others from Georgia will likely be there. Y'all save me some, eh!?!?

Well it finally took long enough but the snow is finally coming down in Lincoln County. Been snowing pretty hard here for about 10 minutes. It's just now starting to stick however cause its still kind of warm at 37 out on the deck.
