For those of you that can join us again or for the first time, the dates for Star City Motor Madness are Friday, 6/29 & Saturday, 6/30 this year. It has been changed to weekend dates instead of July 4th in the past. This annual car event is fun and is open to all brands of cars.....old & new. This is not a judged event. This year, for the first time, the featured vehicles are MOPAR's. The Roanoke Valley MOPAR club has invited us to join them downtown on Saturday in their special parking area. This will be open to just those that pre-register for the event. Although the web site has not been updated for 2007 yet, it will be at www.starcitymotormadness.com. The site should be updated in the near future. Check your schedules and see if you can work this event in. We have had several from NC & TN in the past years and hope to see more of you this year. More news and updates will be coming. Carrol

Becky, We look forward to having you with us. It is bigger & better than the last time you came for the Madness event. With the special preferred parking down town, wouldn't it be great to have a "slew" of PT's there. As you know, the MOPAR club is counting on us to fill up that street. 10 - 15,000 cars cruising Williamson Road on the night of 6/29 ain't bad either Thanks, Carrol

OK, all you Carolina PT'ers!!! Let's get those good looking PT Cruisers here in Roanoke for Star City Motor Madness. We want to fill the downtown streets with PT's on Saturday. If you can't come on Friday for the "Cruise Night", maybe you can come up early on Saturday to participate in the downtown "show" day. This is not a judged event.......just a "show off" day. ;D The MOPAR club is really hoping for us to have the street full of cars. Hope you can work it into your schedule.

We had a great time at this event. Thanks Carrol for your hospitality and all your help navigating the highways and byways. The car show was fantastic and the trip to the top of the mountain to see the Roanoke Star and the city lights was awesome. Thanks Marcy for the shopping trip through the City Market (an added surprise). Thanks also to Joyce and Curtis for your entertaining stories yesterday (lots of fun). Hope the Sonic survived our visit. We really enjoyed spending our weekend with our P.T. Cruiser friends and hope to get together again soon.

We too had a great time with the Star City bunch. A great group of friends and cruisers. Lots of people eyeballing our cruisers. Special thanks to Kathy & Dean and to Grace & Don for making the trek with us.

We thank all of you for joining us for the Star City Motor Madness event over the weekend. You helped make it so much fun. We always enjoy seeing and cruising with you. PT friends are just the best!!!! I plan on checking the Sonic tomorrow to make sure it didn't burn down after we left there. ;D I think it was so cool for the Sonic manager to come over to our parking area with free ice cream for us cruisiers. That was a surprise, for sure. I guess they just appreciated our business and didn't know our history for bad things happening to places we eat. Tony, it is good to know that you are a "new member magnet". So far we have 4 new members since the weekend. I received emails from another couple that we didn't get to talk to that recently bought a PT. If any of the other clubs start a membership drive, just get Tony to come and stand around the cars . Then be close by with club cards and paper to write down names and addresses. I am glad everybody from out of town made it home safely. We look forward to our next opportunity to cruise with you again. Thanks again Carrol
