OK folks here is the info some of you have been waiting for. Our Christmas event will be December 8-10. Lots of cruisin', Christmas lights, historic sites, good eating, and most of all lots of fun! Go here for all the info... www.carolinaptcruisers.com/CHS_christmas.htmThere is a registration page (no charge but you MUST register). There is a mail in registration form that you can copy for someone to mail in if they don't have e-mail. Once we see how many are coming in on Thursday evening, the 7th we will plan a little welcome get together. For those arriving on Friday, the 8th if you can't check in by 1pm then the hotel will hold your luggage for you so you can join us for our activities which will start that day at 1pm. That gives everyone time for lunch on their own wherever they choose before we start cruisin' for the day. Dinner will be planned Friday evening at 5pm for Bessinger's Bar-B-Que Buffet. Then we go see some awesome Christmas light displays. Saturday we will plan to leave the host hotel at 9am to begin our cruisin' activities. Lunch will be on your own during our historic downtown walk around. Several places to choose from within walking distance. Dinner will be planned for 5pm at waterfront California Dreaming. More Christmas light displays to be seen on our way back to the host hotel. Sunday morning we will leave the host hotel at 9am for farewell breakfast at Cracker Barrel.

Note that the host hotel has a heated INDOOR pool. Thought that would be nice for December ;D Also just across the street from the hotel is LOTS of shopping oportunities if need be...Wal-Mart, Sams Club, Tanger Outlet Mall with lots of restaurants to choose from for lunch that Friday. All you do is take a right out of the parking lot then take your next left for all the shopping you could dream of

One of the attractions we plan to see is the famous 'Angel Oak' www.angeloaktree.org/ . Open the link and click on 'History'. This massive tree is believed to be approx 1500 years old. It is 65 ft high. The main trunk circumference is almost 26 ft. Some of the limbs are so heavy they actually droop onto & under the ground then come back out. It is believed to be the oldest thing (living or man made) east of the Rockies. Also could be a good photo opportunity ;D

There are several in Loch Haven Park where the Orlando Science center is a one all by itself (in a much improved park) in Big Tree Park. All within walking distance of where I grew up. Anne

Now that Myrtle Beach is behind us I will be getting the schedules done soon for our December event. Time to get this cranked up...it's ONLY 6 weeks away folks The plan is to be back at the host hotel each night (Fri & Sat) no later than 8pm. Keep in mind that part of this event is to see some nice Christmas attractions/displays/lights so of course in order to do that each night after dinner we will check some out. Because of that I will try not to have folks out too late. Dinner each night will be scheduled for 5pm. Lunches BOTH days(Fri & Sat) will be on your own. Friday make sure to have lunch before we start cruizin at 1pm. There are lots of places for lunch near the hotel at the Tanger Outlet Mall area. If your room is not ready when you arrive on Friday the staff will store your luggage for you until you get checked in later that night. We MUST leave the hotel by 1pm on Friday to begin our activities. Saturday we will leave the hotel at 9am for a BIG day of activities. Once again plan to be back no later than 8pm. Lunch will be available at several locations downtown around the 'Market' area. Sunday morning we will have an incredible breakfast at Cracker Barrel which is right off I-26. This will be scheduled for 9am. Afterwards we get lots of hugs ;D
