I wanted to let all of you know that the Star City Motor Madness event is again scheduled for 7/3 & 7/4 in 2006. We have enjoyed having some of you "Carolina Cruisers" join us over the last 3 - 4 years and hope to have even more of you this year. This is a "multiple type of car" event and there is no judging involved. On the evening of 7/3 cars cruise Williamson Road in Roanoke which is great to see. There is every type of street rod, hot rod, antiques, etc. out there cruising. Williamson Road is "the street" that all of the locals cruised back in the "old days". I am sure that all of us had that type of street in our past. (Mine was 2nd St. in Lumberton, NC.) On 7/4, 300 - 400 cars line up to "show off" on the Market area of downtown Roanoke. At 2:00 pm on the 4th, we all parade back out to Williamson Road with all traffic being blocked for us to cruise. It really is a lot of fun. Our club participates on the planning committee and works the prize wheel at the Civic Mall location on the night of the 3rd. There is plenty of parking at that location to show off your PT with ours. The web page for this event is being updated on a regular basis. There will be a registration form on there soon that you can complete and send in. You can view this site for more information at www.starcitymotormadness.com There are also some pictures of past events that you can take a look at. I hope that many of you can put us on your calendar this year and join us in Roanoke. We would love to have you cruise with us. Carrol Star City PT Cruiser Club Roanoke, VA redcruiser.proboards31.com
