Ocracoke is a beautiful place and the town is indeed quite picturesque but very small so our travels to the lighthouse takes us through much of the town. Also, remember that not a lot is open in March.
It is not that we won't be allowed a lot of time, it is just that we will not have a lot of time. In order to catch the ferry to Hatteras we have to keep on a tight time schedule. Of course, if people want to stay and visit more they sure can. We could just meet up at the hotel in Buxton later.

Tom Thanks for the vote of confidence, but there is really only one road on and off Ocracoke. We are really pushing to get everything done though, but I wanted to get in as much as possible along with the driving and ferry rides.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for clarifying on that, I didn't think you were trying to say that Ocracoke wasn't interesting or the like! ;-)

Only 3 1/2 weeks left to get your rooms reserved!!! Remember, all three hotels have cutoff dates the first couple days of March, after that the rooms go back to the general public. Also, we will be trying to make reaservations for the Cedar Island Ferry by the 4th of March so we will need a car count by then.

My reservations are made at all 3 hotels and I'm ready to go! I picked up the Outer Banks 2006 Travel Guide last week along with the Ferry Schedules and Costal Boating Guide (this is a wonderful map with all the attractions on it!). Looking forward to seeing everybody again!

Just over a week left to reserve your rooms for the Coastal Cruise. They will still probably have rooms, but the rates will be higher after the cutoff dates. Hope to see many of you there!!! Tony & Becky Tomes

Tony, Add one more Star City PT Cruiser to the list. Sharon Mills is making the cruise with us. That gives us 4 cars coming at this time.......Me, Lennell, Sharon, & Joyce (if she gets her act together and makes her reservations)

Tony, Just remember when you count cars that most of those cars will have (2) people in them.
Mrs TOMCRUZ will be accompanying me ;D
