great to have you joining us for this. You are correct, Morehead City is the start instead of Wilmington. We just could not do it all in two days if we started in Wilmington.

[glow=red,2,300]We will leave from the Comfort Inn on 70 in Morehead City......[/glow] There are 2 Comfort Inns off 70 in Morehead City? Any special Cruiser Rates and which of The 2 is it Plus Where in Washington NC are people staying

The Comfort Inn in morehead is 3100 Arendell Street Morehead City, NC 28557 Phone: 252-247-3434 Toll Free: 800-422-5404 Ask for the PT Cruiser rate ($60.00 plus tax).
Now for Washington NC we have a problem. The hotels there are all booked up because of some hunting related event that is going on that weekend, so I think we will go another 30 minutes down the road to Greenville NC. The Holiday Inn Experss there has blocked us rooms at $66.00 plus tax per night. When you call (252-754-8300) ask for the PT Cruiser rate.
Though it is an additional 30 minutes, Greenville has plenty of resturants so we will have a great choice. Plus, on Sunday morning those that have to head east and north can take 264 over to I95. Those going south have a couple choices and I will explain them later.
Sorry for all the changes, but we have it set now, all we have to do is have fun!!!

Thanks for passing to word on Tom Look forward to seeing you two as well as John & Nancy. The hotels are holding 20 rooms, but if we ran over they would probably still give us the same rates. The Ferry to Ocracoke will hold 40 cars and the one to Hatteras holds about 26. Hope we can fill the Hatteras one up.

Tony, According to my handy dandy FREE Outer Banks travel giude book the Ocracoke Ferry is 'toll' and the Hatteras Ferry is 'free'.

You are correct about the toll on the Ocracoke. I think we could arrange for Rick to still do it even on the off day.

The website says about Ocracoke quote "On Ocracoke we will not really see too much". My photographer buddy informs me their camera club goes here quite regularly and tells me this is not true...he says there are lot's of things of interest there & the towns are quite picturesque!
Maybe that blurb was referring that the group wasn't allowed a lot of time to explore there?
