Tony, We have 2 - 3 cars so far that are going to join you for the cruise. I think we will have more from our club by the cruise date. We will be looking for your updates on our Star City PT Club message boards.

OK, though all is not finalized, we do know where we are starting and stopping... Starting in Morehead City instead of Wilmington. In order to get all the sites in and be able to catch two ferry rides Morehead makes more sense. we ill visit Ft Macon Civil War site, Harkers Island for photo op of first lighthouse, Ocracoke Island, Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, Hatteras Lighthouse, Bodie Lighthouse, Currituck Lighthouse, Wright Brothers Museum and site of First Flight, Ft Raleigh & Elizabethan Gardens. We will end the cruise Saturday night in Washington NC, have breakfast Sunday morning and break up to head home. Will have times and hotel info real soon (waiting on mesaages from them on rates) This cruise will involve a good bit of driving, a little over three hours on the water, and lots of fun. Hope you can make it. Look for finals tomorrow night.

We have selected the motels, and so far have only heard back from one on rates. We will leave from the Comfort Inn on 70 in Morehead City. They have set aside rooms for us at $60 per night. Call 800-422-5404 and tell them you are with the PT Cruiser Club. Cut off is March 2nd for this one. Friday night we plan to stay at the Comfort Inn in Buxton. their phone is 252-995-5444 but they have not given me info on any discounted rates yet. They promised me I would hear from them so I hope soon. Saturday night we will be staying at the Hampton Inn in Washington, NC Their phone is 252-342-2083 and they too have not gotten back with me yet on rates. We are also nailing down places to eat and waiting on menus and prices for those. We do have a great place to have lunch on Saturday in Manteo. Big Al's Soda Fountain and Grill. 50' theme...sounds like fun. Please keep checking back, I will continue to post new info as I receive it.

So we would spend Thursday Night (3/16) in Morehead City and leave there on Friday Morning? What time would you be leaving there? A little more detail would be good so I can decide what day to leave here and where to stay.

Leaving Morehead city at about 8AM Friday morning. Yes, I would suggest you stay there Thursday night. I know you are planning on staying Sunday night, I would still think Wilmington would be fine for that Becky. I picked Morehead City because we have a really tight schedule to keep in order to see everything and still make the reserved slots on the Ferry.

Tony, this does bring up an interesting point now that people need to realize...
All along this has been 'advertised' as March 17-19 but actually it is now the 16th-19th. Instead of (2) nights it is actually (3) nights is what you're saying.
Rick may want to change the dates here on the website as well as Darryl on his schedule that he sends out.
JUST A THOUGHT ;D

Hey Tony,
Are you going to have event merchandise? I'd love a T-shirt and maybe even a sweatshirt! Just a thought!

Sorry for the delay getting back to the questions. I have been out of town at a trade show for work. Tom, it really is still justy two days. The reason I posted the Morehead motel is because we need to leave early in the morning to get everything done. People do not have to stay there Thursday night, they can indeed drive in and meet us Friday morning. I for one, am staying Thursday night because it will save me about two hours of driving Friday morning. I have re sent my email to the Buxton Comfort Inn and I understand I had posted their fax number by mistake. Their phone is 252-995-6100. I will call the Hampton in Washington again today to try to get their commitment. Becky, I have not really given much thought to event merchandise, but will try to come up with a logo that can be on a shirt. Maybe one of our talented memebers can come up with something for me. If anyone wants to help out, I think either "Coastal Cruise" or even "Lighthouse Cruise" would work well.

Tony, The Comfort Inn in Buxton has a toll free number 1 800 432-1441.
The number you show in this posting for the Hampton Inn (Washington) is incorrect. Tried it twice...wrong number.
