Predator tunes, run at the track, and dyno pulls
« Thread Started on Feb 9, 2009, 3:12am »

I'm curious if any of you with Stage 1 on your PT's have benchmarked your PT prior to and after adding Stage 1. I posted over at PTCrew the results of my insane week in Florida, along with the improvements I gained through the Predator. Took the car to the track for 6 runs, then spent a night on the dyno getting it tuned up. You can see my post at PTCrew.com. Just didn't want to try typing all that twice!

And stop snickering at my track results! Yes, was a total drag strip virgin before Friday night. Will be back up in NC tomorrow but only for a day or so before flying off to Dallas.

At our next meet, I'd like to offer to drop a custom tune in anyone's PT that just wants to trial the Predator. I would have to remove the tune afterwards as it's only good for one car (VIN) at a time, but thought I'd offer it up to those who might be interested in one day getting a Predator. You can load the tune up, then make a few runs with it to see just what you can get out of this little tool, then I'd have to drop your factory tune back in. But it might help answer the question for anyone seriously interested in going the Predator route versus going to Stage 1.

Also, this offer is really for anyone interested, not just at meets. Just would have to work with me to get together to try it out. I'm having a total blast with it, and just the canned 93 octane tune in it will give you on average 40 hp and 80 ft lb of torque, really wakes up your PT!!!

If you are interested, PM or email me!!!

Hey Robin, I think the tune is only good for the same year and transmission as you have. I don't think you can load a tune for another car can you? I'd love to try out the tune on my 2003 GT, but I think things are a bit different. I have an autostick as well.

Not sure about the autostick, but will check, and if not then DS will write a tune for me for your car. I'm helping them sell the Predators now, so it's no biggie. PM me with the specifics of your car, as in what after market mods you've done for performance, along with your VIN, so I can confirm the tune will work. I can tune any PT with the pred, regardless of year/model, just want to make sure on the autostick. When you buy it, you buy 2001 thru 2006, but I will verify that as in '06 Chrysler went to CAN buss, that would be the only limiting factor that I can think of. While at RageTek, Nemo stated that "any SRT4 or PT" could use my Pred, as I told him what I had planned on doing with test tunes for other PT owners. He said it would work, but I will confirm with him just to be sure. Would hate to roll in a tune and wipe out your PCM...lol
